Rear Impact Hook Restraint Models

Nordock’s Rear impact hook restraint models of vehicle restraints improve safety, strength, convenience, and long-term reliability. Rear impact hook restraint models include the AR-10K and AR-20K.

The SMART-HOOK® Series of automatic vehicle restraint is designed to prevent unscheduled departure, trailer creeps, and tip-overs by using a large rotating hook to secure a trailer’s rear impact guard (RIG) with 32,000 lbs. of restraining force and a mounting force over 100,000 lbs.

Smart-Hook® Series AR-10K

AR-10K is a premium automatic vehicle restraint designed to secure trucks at the loading dock by using a large rotating hook to engage a trailer’s rear impact guard (RIG)/ The latest model in the SMART-HOOK® series, the AR-10K delivers trouble-free operation and long-term reliability and increases loading dock safety with the addition of the exclusive POWER-SAFE™ battery reserve system.

Able to supply power to the vehicle restraint in the event of a power outage, the auto-recharging POWER-SAFE™ battery unit grants full operational restraint functions with safety communication lights for up to 24 hours, keeping truck drivers and dock attendants safe, in control, and on schedule.

The low profile housing automatically adjusts to various trailer heights and movements and lowers to 9″ above grade, avoiding potential damage from low-hanging rear impact guards. The restraint is stored above ground level to keep it free of snow, ice, and debris.

Smart-Hook® Series AR-20K

AR-20K offers the industry’s most enhanced loading dock safety and performance with its patented NO-PINCH™ Auxiliary Lock System, securing all trailers with rear impact guard obstructions. With maximum mounting force exceeding 100,000 pounds, AR-20K restraints can hold the heaviest trucks while the locking hook virtually secures all rear impact guards over 32,000 pounds of restraining force.

Manual Restraint

The MTL Model Truck-Lock® Series of Non-impact Manual vehicle restraints improves safety with strength, convenience, and reliability. The MTL Model Non-Impact Manual Truck-Lock® is an affordable manually operated unit designed to secure a truck at the loading dock by engaging the rear impact guard with a large barrier.

The Truck-Lock® Series of non-impact vehicle restraint uses a large barrier to safely engage and secure a trailer’s rear impact guard (RIG) to the loading dock with 32,000 lbs. of restraining force and mounting forces over 100,000 lbs.

Truck-Lock® models MTL-250 and MTL-300 come standard with a barrier-mounted sensor bar that provides positive communication to the operator when the rear impact guard has been safely engaged.

Automatic Restraint

The ATL Model Non-Impact Truck-Lock® Series of vehicle restraints improves safety with strength, convenience, and reliability.

The ATL model of Truck-Lock® is an automatic unit that activates and stores the spring-loaded Hydra-Float™ barrier via push-button control.
When the barrier is activated, it can safely secure virtually all types of rear impact guards up to 30” above grade, automatically adjusting to trailer movement while maintaining positive contact with the RIG.

Truck-Lock® models ATL-450, ATL-500, and ATL-900 come standard with a barrier-mounted sensor bar that provides positive communication to the operator when the rear impact guard has been safely engaged.

Pit-Hook™

The Non-Impact Pit-Hook™ Series recessed vehicle restraint improves safety with strength, convenience, and reliability. The Pit-Hook™ Series of non-impact vehicle restraint is a recessed pit hook that stores underneath a dock pit cavity to offer unobstructed and trouble-free access to hydraulic lift gate trailers and smaller delivery vehicles.

The PH-3000 Model is a premium automatic hydraulic powered unit designed to secure a truck at the loading dock by engaging the rear impact guard with a large hook. With a unique reach and grab functionality and equipped with Hydra-Float™ technology, the PH-3000 leaves no gap between the hook and the trailer. It can easily adjust to trailer movement, eliminating trailer creep and landing gear collapse.
